Ronald Lee Frazier

Ronald Lee “Porky” Frazier, Sr., 93 of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away of natural causes January 6, 2017 at Worthington Nursing Home. He was born August 27, 1923 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Floyd and Jane Dowler Frazier. Porky served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1212. He was a retired painter and a member of the Painters Local #1144. An avid sports fan, he loved to watch football, baseball, and NASCAR. Ronald also enjoyed building model ships and planes well into his 90's. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Pandora Biles Frazier; two daughters, Rebecca (Jerry) Zielinski of Circleville, OH and Melissa (Joey) Hoeksema of Midway, GA; a son, Ronald Lee Frazier, Jr. of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren, Tim, Crissy, Ashley, Jonathan and Shane; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and was loved and admired by many. In addition to his parents Ronald was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace, Robert and Junior Frazier; a nephew, Jimmy Frazier; and a niece, Linda Frazier Holderby. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen South Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
