Rodney Blaine Bonnell

Rodney Blaine Bonnell, age 70 of Harrisville, W.Va, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. He was born September 17, 1945 in West Union, W.Va., a son of the late Paul “Bub” Bonnell and Winifred Gabbert Kirkpatrick. Rodney was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from American Cyanamid at Willow Island. He was an avid runner having participated in the Pittsburgh Marathon and was a member of the Parkersburg Road Runners where he helped lay out the Parkersburg Marathon route. He also enjoyed woodworking. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Mary Guice Bonnell; his daughter, Dawn Michelle Marshall (Shawn) of Petroleum, W.Va.; his son, Patrick Shane Bonnell of Harrisville; and his half brother, Michael Kirkpatrick (Debbie) of Hudson, Fla. There will be no services at this time. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 400 Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank Eagle Pointe and Housecalls Hospice for their love and care given to Rodney.
