Marissa Elise Miller

Marissa Elise Miller, age 12, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Wood County, W.Va.Marissa was born April 17, 2001 in Parkersburg, W.Va., daughter of Dr. Kenneth and Dr. Lisa Glorioso Miller.She was a 7th grade student at Jackson Middle School. She loved spending time with family, friends and her dog Moguls. Marissa was an amazing student and athlete, having won many awards. She had a passion for basketball, soccer and running. Her family called her “Mighty” and her motto was “Be Kind. Work Hard. Have Fun”. Her favorite place was the Elite Sports Center because of the people who work there. Marissa was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Vienna. Marissa is survived by her parents, sister Ciara Miller and brother Tyler Miller; her paternal grandparents, Dr. Robert Miller of Cumberland, Md. and Carol Frost of Baltimore, Md.; maternal grandparents, Dr. Joseph and Kay Glorioso of Pittsburgh, Pa.; great-grandmother, Dorothy Trautwein also of Pittsburgh, Pa.; uncles and aunts, Dr. Robert and Cindi Miller, Dr. Douglas and Kimberly Miller, Carol and John Lewis, Erik Miller, Kara Miller and Dr. David and Tammy Glorioso and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am. Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va. with Father John Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, W.Va. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Marissa's family requests that donations be made to the Elite Sports Center, 2000 1st.
