Kim McGinnis, 39 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Monday August 8th at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va. on Dec 3, 1976 to Larry and Carol Arnold of Belpre. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Todd McGinnis, twin sons, Aidan and Austin, sister, Nikki Arnold, and father and mother-in-law, Tom and Janis McGinnis. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was a 1995 graduate of Belpre High School. She participated and lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball all 4 years of High School. She attended Hiram College, where she also played softball. Kim was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church for several years and where she and her husband Todd were married October 22, 2005. Currently she and her family are members of St. Francis Xavier. Kim was employed as an office manager for Dudley Dental Services and then went on to work with her husband for several years at WEE Federal Credit Union. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11th at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home on Pike St, Parkersburg from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. with wake to start at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12th, with Father John Rice and Father David Huffman as celebrants. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, PO Box 392, Parkersburg, WV 26102. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley and staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital and The Strecker Cancer Center for the compassionate and loving care during her illness.
