Ramey, Jr., 74, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away July 12, 2015, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, after a motorcycle accident.He was born February 21, 1941 in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late James O. and Pauline Virginia Kennedy Ramey.James enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and collecting memorabilia. He was a member of H.O.G. and Flying Circle MC. James was a California Highway Patrol Officer, thereafter a maintenance mechanic for the Johns Manville Plant (retired) and presently was a security officer for Securitas.He is survived by his long-time companion, Jackie Spanner; two sons, James Keith Ramey (Teri) of Williamstown, W.Va., and Kevin P. Ramey of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Mary Ann Napier of Lewisburg, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Ivy and Trevor Ramey.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jenny Lee Ramey.A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va with Steve Williams officiating.Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to the time of service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ohio Valley Humane Society or to the Parkersburg Humane Society.
