Ghassan Elias Haddad

Ghassan Elias Haddad, 72, resident of the Arcadia Nursing Home, Coolville, Ohio, passed away on January 5, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital from complications of several long illnesses. He was born March 7, 1944 in Lebanon, a son of the late Elias and Ghazaly Haddad. He was the former owner of Gus’ Shoe Repair in Parkersburg, W.Va. He came to the U.S. from Lebanon in 1971. Ghassan is survived by his sons, Souheil and Elias Haddad and wife, Karen of Canada, and Zeinoun Haddad and wife, Cynthia of Parkersburg, W.Va.; mother of the children Ghawee Haddad; one grandaughter, Samantha Haddad; sisters, Wafa Haddad and Souad Sabb and husband, George both of Canada; ex-wife and friend, Zahra Wagoner of Hockingport, Ohio; special friend, Sebrina Dixon of Guysville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie and Nabeel Haddad; and one sister, Tala Haddad. At his request, there will be no funeral services. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, is assisting the family.
