George J. Sadie,

George Joseph Sadie, Jr., 51, of Parkersburg passed away unexpectedly December 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 22, 1965 in Parkersburg, a son of Marie B. (Serhan) Sadie of Parkersburg and the late George J. Sadie, Sr. George was a 1983 graduate of Parkersburg High School and an aircraft mechanic veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed at Ravenswood Aluminum and was retired on disability for several years. George was a member of American Legion Post 15, Parkersburg, the VFW and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. George was a wonderful person who never knew a stranger. He had such a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Joseph G. Sadie (Rita) of Parkersburg; his sister, Jolene M. Taylor (Jeff) of Parkersburg; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Parkersburg with Father Steve Vallelonga as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post 15, Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg.
