Evelyn Kelly Hupp

Evelyn (Kelly) Hupp, 93, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1926, in Masontown, WV a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison Kelly and Jessie (Carrico) Kelly. Evelyn was a Registered Nurse and a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing class of 1948. She had worked at hospitals in West Virginia, Ohio, PA, Maryland and Virginia. Her passion was Pediatrics and she usually was the Charge Nurse in care of the premature babies. She married Donald (Bruce) Hupp in Masontown, WV on August 27, 1949. They were married for 63 years until his death in 2013. Evelyn and Bruce enjoyed playing golf wherever they lived, but especially in Canaan Valley, WV and on Hilton Head Island, SC. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the daily crossword puzzles in the newspaper. In addition to her parents and her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Mary Browning, Helen Amtower, James Kelly, William Kelly, twins Eleanor Gilmore and John Paul Kelly, and her twin sister, Dorothy Fortney. She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Eva Wilson of Parkersburg and Doris Kelly of Worthington, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. At Evelyn’s request, there will be no services or visitation and she will be interred at the West Virginia National Veteran’s Cemetery in Grafton, WV with her husband at the convenience of her family. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory Services, is assisting the family with arrangements.
