Elsie Elizabeth Dornon

Elsie E. Dornon, 85, of Waverly, W.Va., passed away August 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1930, in Waverly, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Moore Garrison. Elsie was a homemaker in her home. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Honaker (George) of Charleston, W.Va. and Gladys Blair (Denny) of Waverly; four sons, Thomas E. Dornon Jr. (Karen), Harry Dornon (Myrna), Richard “Rich” Dornon all of Waverly, W.Va. and Randy Dornon (Joyce) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Richard Garrison of Waverly, Russell Garrison also of Waverly; a son in-law, Lou Haught of Vienna, W.Va.; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty eight years, Thomas E. Dornon Sr., one daughter, Tammy Haught; one infant daughter, Ruth Ann Dornon;one grandson, Jason Blair; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Bob Watkins and Pastor Dana Locke officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Island Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home.
