Daniel Matthew “Matt” Linder, 43, of Pennsboro, W.Va., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 23, 2017 at his residence. Matt was born June 26, 1973 in Clarksburg, W.Va., the son of Charles M. and Linda M. (Herrod) Linder of Mineral Wells, W.Va. Matt was an ordained preacher and served the Lord and his congregation as pastor of Central Valley Baptist Church in Manteca, CA from 1999 to 2008. He was active in missionary work traveling as far as the Philippines and Japan. Matt worked tirelessly to win souls for Christ and had an eternal impact on thousands of people during his years in the ministry. More recently, he attended Harvest Time Church in Pennsboro. Matt enjoyed spending time with his children more than anything and also enjoyed hunting, camping, riding 4-wheelers and helping others. Matt is survived by his wife, Priscilla K. Steele Linder; two daughters, Alana and Amy Linder of Dundalk, MD; three sons, Andrew and Adam Linder of San Jose, CA and Alex Linder of Dundalk. MD; two brothers, D. Michael Linder (Connie) and D. Eric Linder (April) both of Mineral Wells; nephews and nieces, Tate, Cole, Shay, Hannah, Wyatt and Millie; Uncle Don Herrod (Debbie); Aunt Beverly Hammond (Ron); four cousins, Eugene “Shike” Groah, Amanda Parker, Donnie Herrod, and Nikki Hall; and a loving grandmother Juanita Linder. Services for Matt will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Lloyd Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Marshville Baptist Cemetery just outside of Salem, W.Va. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
