Carolyn Beth Piggott

Carolyn Beth Haynes Piggott, age 65 of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 30, 1950 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Walter and Eva Boyce Haynes. Carolyn had previously worked for the City of Parkersburg and was the former dog warden assistant in Wirt County, W.Va. She enjoyed hunting, her jewelry, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dogs. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 38 years, Edward “Butch” Piggott; her children, Michael Wilburn of Elizabeth, Steven Wilburn of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Doug Piggott of Belleville, W.Va., Brent Piggott of Elizabeth, Amber Corbin of Elizabeth, and Pamela Jones of Texas; two sisters, Diane Wade of Rockport, W.Va. and Joy Runner of Elizabeth; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter “Bud” Haynes; one infant sister, Shirley Haynes; and her grandson, Matthew Wilburn. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Alan Tennant officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
