Alice Susan Brown

Alice Susan Brown, 59, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away March 9, 2013, at her residence. She was born July 10, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of Margaret Kunzmann Herman of Bellevue, Pa., and the late Robert J. Herman. Alice was employed at Home Depot where she was a supervisor, and was a member of Sam's Creek Baptist Church. She loved her family and her two Boston Terriers, Abbey and Molly. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and watching the birds. Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Gary B. Brown; her mother, Margaret Herman; one son, Gary D. Brown (Mandy) of Vienna, W.Va.; one daughter, Deborah K. Brown (Bo) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three sisters, Dolores Gould (Thomas) of West Leechburg, Pa., Marcella Burkhardt (Geoffrey) of Avalon, Pa., and Chrisann McIntosh (Scott) of Cheswick, Pa.; her mother-in-law, Doris J. Brown of Rockport, W.Va.; three brothers-in-law, Kenneth L. Brown (Janet) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Emmette M. Brown and Dennis R Brown both of Rockport, W.Va.; and three sisters-in-law, Becky E. Ryan and Donna J. Jones (John) all of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Loretta L. Joy (Charlie) of Rockport, W.Va. In addition to her father, Robert J. Herman, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary F. Behm; her father-in-law, Harold E. “Grub” Brown; her grandparents, Joseph and Alma Herman and Laurence and Margaret Kunzmann; one brother-in-law, Harold R. Brown; and one sister-in-law, Kelley Brown. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Bob Watkins and Geoffrey Burkhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
