Zella Madeline Mccormick

Z.Madeline McCormick, 92, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at The Ohio Valley Health Care Center. She was born September 4, 1926 in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Abie and Vesta Hollandsworth Harris. Madeline was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Chancellor Hotel. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, knitting and making clothes. She was a member of the DAR and gave tours of the Henry Cooper Log Cabin in the City Park. She also dressed in period attire and gave guided tours at Blennerhassett Island. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Marc McCormick and his wife Jenny of Vienna and Craig McCormick and his wife Kimberly of Parkersburg; one sister, Illene Mills of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Bret, Brianne, Allison, Brian Scott, Jamie Lee and Frank; great-grandchildren, Aliana, Alexander, Olivia Faith, Wyatt, Cole, Kinsley and Kaelin. In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Millard McCormick ; two sisters, Lenie, and Maxine; two brothers, Roy and Harry. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, with Pastor Ian Reid officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery on Laurel Creek Road.
