Wilma Virginia Scholl

June 8, 1935 — October 29, 2024

W. Virginia “Ginny” Godfrey Scholl, age 89 of Vienna, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Wyngate Assisting Living. She was born June 8, 1935 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Dort and Naomi Godfrey.
Ginny was a 1953 graduate of Weston High School and a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Clarksburg, WV. She was a retired registered nurse at Camden Clark Medical Center with over 28 years of service. Ginny was a 20+ year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and a current honorary member. She attended Vienna Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, collecting clowns, lighthouses and bells. She and her husband, George “Bill” Scholl were married May 11, 1957 and they enjoyed spending time with their family and spending winters in Florida.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Machell Hague of Marietta; her son, Steven (Suzi) Scholl of Vienna; grandchildren, Corrie and Casey Hague of Marietta and Kevin (Lauren) Scholl of Carrollton, VA; great-grandchildren, Caiden and Cobi Hague of Marietta and Bryson, Brooklyn, Bellamy and Blakelee Scholl of Carrollton, VA and her sister, Cathryn Helms of Washington, PA.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, George “Bill” Scholl; her brother, Wilbur Godfrey and son-in-law, Gary Hague.
Private graveside services will be held at the Bridgeport Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
A special thank you to Wyngate Senior Living Community and friends, Sue Brooks and Martha Steele and Amedisys Hospice for all the love and care given to Ginny.
Memorials may be made to the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 609 28th Street, Vienna, WV 26105 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN in memory of Ginny.
