Willis Dale Starcher

Willis Dale Starcher age 73, of Washington, WV passed away May 18, 2019. He was born May 8, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late William George and Lenna Whipkey Starcher. Willis was an US Army Veteran and retired as a Building Inspector for the State of Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and landscaping. He was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace Boyd Starcher; children, Kathy McKinniss of Belpre, Debbie Hendershot of Parkersburg, Barbara Smith of Florida, Robert Arbogast of Parkersburg, Willis Dale Starcher Jr. (Alisha of Parkersburg, Eric E. Starcher(Cathy) of Parkersburg and Craig Starcher (Shannon) of Parkersburg; one brother, William “Billy” Starcher of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Barbara Davis of Wirt County, WV and Hilda Gwynn of Hubbard, NC; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Willis was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Christine Starcher; three brothers, Roger, Denver and Myron “Butch” Starcher; and one sister, Pamela Reed. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Ronnie Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
