Willie Mccarther Newbrough

Willie McCarther Newbrough, 74 of Parkersburg, passed away August 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1943 in Ritchie County, WV, a son of the late Willie Lee and Sarah M. Phillips Newbrough. He was retired from Kardex and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and collecting belt buckles. Willie is survived by his lifetime partner, Alice M. Harris; a son, Billy Joe Newbrough (Robin) of Parkersburg; a grandson, Christopher J. Newbrough: a step-son, Allen Harris of Marietta, Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Tonya Johnson and Derek Harris; and four step-great-grandchildren, Taryn Johnson, Cody Harris, Brady Harris and Tyler Plummer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Newbrough; and a sister, Sue Newbrough Wilson. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Pearl “Pete” Harris officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
