William Douglas Shepherd

William D. “Billy” Shepherd Jr., 35, of Parkersburg, passed away in the O.S.U. Hospital, Columbus, Ohio on July 23, 2017. Billy was born in Parkersburg, a son of William D. “Bill” Shepherd of Parkersburg and the late Janet Marie Leadmon Shepherd. He was a graduate of PSHS and was a self-employed contractor, enjoyed playing pool and spending time with friends. In addition to his father, Billy is survived by one sister, Sarah Shepherd; three brothers, Jason Leadmon (Amy), twin brother Robert “Bobby” Shepherd (Joyce) and Curtis Shepherd, all of Parkersburg. Along with his mother, Billy was preceded in death by two infant  brothers, Michael and Kevin Shepherd. The family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M. Thursday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg. A reception will immediately follow at the American Legion Post 15, Garfield Avenue, Parkersburg. Donations are appreciated to help defray unexpected expenses.
