William Mathew Nutter

William M. “Bill” Nutter, 88, of Vienna, passed away October 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 26, 1929 in Summersville, WV the son of the late Ira and Jessie Moore Nutter. William was a graduate of Marshall University and an avid Marshall Football fan. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. William was owner- operator of Fast Food Services for 37 years, and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church He is survived by his wife, Joan Watters Nutter; three children, Sarah Lemke of Atlanta, GA, Susan Nutter of Chicago, IL and William Nutter II also of Vienna, WV; one sister, Judy Young of West Palm Beach, FL; special caregiver, Terry Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Allen and one brother, Madison “Buzz” Nutter. Funeral services for William will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M., Saturday at the funeral home.
