William Franklin McDougle, 78, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Veteran's Nursing Facility, Clarksburg, W.Va.He was born September 1, 1932, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Floyd and Mildred Louise Stribling McDougle.William was a 1951 graduate of Parkersburg High School; was a U.S. Army Veteran; and retired from E. I. DuPont after 35 years of service where he was an electrical superintendent. He was a member of the Moose Lodge; American Legion Post 15, Parkersburg; member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he was trustee for 18 years; and 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Barbara Monroe McDougle; two sons, Michael McDougle (Becky) of Washington, W.Va., and Stephen McDougle (Karen) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two daughters, Theresa “Terry” Nutter (Ed) of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Jennifer Kelly (John) of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher Lawson of Texas, Jessica Dunbar of Columbus, Ohio, Venitta McDougle of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Megan McDougle of Washington, W.Va.; one step-daughter, Michelle Atta of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; one step- grandson, Nicholas Atta of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and one adopted granddaughter, Angie Zubavich of Columbus, Ohio.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 532 Market Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Father Eric Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday with Rosary Services at 8:30 p.m. at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va.
