William Michael Griswold

William Michael Griswold, 74, of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1943, in Newark, NJ, son of the late William and Viola Bunk Griswold. William is retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt. 1st Class and he is also a retired Iron Worker Local Union #11 in Newark, NJ. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also liked to travel and watch western movies. He is a Roman Catholic by faith. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Kernaghan Griswold; five daughters, Dawn Campbell (Warren) of Parkersburg, Shannon Hopkins (Keith) of Washington, WV, Sandra Harding (James) of Kenvil, NJ, Donna Gonzalez (Luis) of Huschton, GA and Kelly Ianetti (Valentino) of Bushkill, PA; one son, Christopher Griswold (Joanne) of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; one brother, Frederick Griswold of Hopatcong, NJ; 16 grandchildren, Monique, Tracey, Brandy, Gregory, Joel, Bryan, Victoria, Alex, Breanne, Alyssa, Michael, Joaquin, Aiden, Kaitlyn, McKenna and Madison;and six great-grandchildren, Devlyn, Reagan, Samuel, Cole, Madeleine and Carter. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Griswold; one grandchild, Morgan Ianetti; one brother, Robert Griswold; and one sister, Joan Garland. There will be a private memorial service. Entombment will follow at Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. at a later date.
