William (Bus) Eugene Davis, 93, of Vienna, W. Va. passed away peacefully with his family by his side February 5, 2015, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, W.Va. He was born July 23, 1921, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of Eugene Pascal and Forest Laurel (Polk) Davis. He graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1939 and married his wife of seventy years, Dorothy (Dottie) May Bonar Davis, on September 20, 1941, in Winchester, Virginia.He was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church for 63 years where he served on various boards and committees. Having made his home the last three years with his daughter and her husband in Harrisville, W.Va., he was an active participant at St Luke's United Methodist Church where his son-in-law is the current pastor.He also was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and The American Legion.Bus worked at the C & P Telephone Company for over 42 years. He was a World War II Army veteran. He enjoyed gardening, making his famous caramel corn and zucchini bread, fishing, boating, bird watching, bowling, traveling, and most of all, spending time and playing games with his family.He is survived by his children, William (Jeep) Davis, Jr. and wife, Rose, Mechanicsburg, PA; Dorothy (D.D.) Frum and husband, Rev. John Frum, Harrisville, WV; and Wanda Hickox and husband, Charlie, Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Will Davis, and wife, Megan; Anne Davis and husband Antonio Pinto; John Frum, Scott Frum, and wife Melissa; Elaine Hageman, and husband, Mark; Chas Hickox; Chris Hickox; Daniel Hickox, and wife, Andrea; and great-grandchildren, Alana and Chloe Frum; Jake, Tyler, and Cody Hageman; Zane Hickox and Ally Miller; brother Herbert Paul Davis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jamie Frum; and sister, Margaret Davis Ewing.Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bus's life from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va., and one hour prior to services on Sunday at the church. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Wayside United Methodist Church, (next to the funeral home), with Reverend Greg Markins and Reverend John Frum officiating, with Military Services by the American Legion Post #15. Interment in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, W.Va., will be at the convenience of the family.The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Wayside United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3001 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va. 26105 in Bus's memory.
