William Glen Bunner, 80, of Mineral Wells, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born August 12, 1938, in Harrisville, WV, a son of the late William H. and Florence E. McNemar Bunner. William retired from the Pleasants County Board of Education as a Chief Mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Big Island Run Church, Elizabeth, WV. William enjoyed music, camping and was the past President of the WV bass festival and was the President of the high school program, Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs in St. Mary’s, WV. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte A. Ellison Bunner; his seven daughters, Darlene Marshall of Stanleytown, VA, Kim Taylor (Mark) of St. Mary’s, WV, Evelyn Bunner Smith (Joseph) of St. Marys, WV, Lisa Phillips (Roger) of Kanawha, WV, Belinda Labar (Michael) of St. Johns, MI, , Jonda Douglas (Randal) of Rockport, WV, and Misty Rummer (Brian) of Washington, WV; his two brothers, Robert Bunner (Ann) of Parkersburg and Donald Bunner (Margaret) of Valley Mills, WV; 23 grandchildren, Heather, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jason, William Glen, C.J., Phillip, Frank, Beth, Billy, Amber, Joshua, Mamie, Chris, Jenny, Sarah, Kayla, Kory, Courtney, Trey, Kelsie, Laken, Bryce; 18 great-grandchildren, Caeleigh, Dani, Dominiq, Jordyn, Xander, Londyn, Jaxson, Maci, Addie, Malloree, Mariah, Revaelynn, Lora Lei, Kadence, Bella, Pearl, Trill, Liam. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Turner; one son, William M. Bunner; two brothers, Edward Bunner and an infant brother; and one sister, Patsy Rhyne. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Tim Bell and Jonathon Larrison officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
