William “Bill” Miskofsky

July 15, 1944 — January 14, 2025

William “Bill” Miskofsky, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, after being under Hospice care since January 1 of this year.

He was born July 15, 1944, in Parkersburg, son of the late Louis and Fay Miskofsky.

Bill graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1962. He completed heavy equipment training in North Carolina, which served him well later in life. Bill had worked as a maintenance manager for Nashua Photo beginning as an apprentice with Premiere Photo.

Nashua closed in 2002, and Bill started his own business, WLM Excavating. After a time he wound that business down and went to work for Hall’s Drilling in Ellenboro, West Virginia.

Bill worked hard his whole life beginning with his youthful days on his grandparents’ farm. He took pride in doing the job right and mentoring others to do the same.

He loved his family dearly and treasured all of them as well as his many friends and co-workers.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra Gregg-Miskofsky; his son, Keith Miskofsky, of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Natalie Miskofsky-Meuser of Lexington, Kentucky, Gracyn Miskofsky of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, and Madison Miskofsky of Parkersburg; great-granddaughter, Rilynn Miskofsky of Parkersburg; special sister and brother-in-law Debbie Gregg Garber and Dan Garber; sister, Anna May Miskofsky-Rogers of Greensboro, North Carolina; special nephew, John E. Wright, Jr. of Parkersburg; and niece, Stacy Wright-Taylor of Colax, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his greatly loved and missed son, Christopher Todd Miskofsky.

Bill’s wife, Sandra, would like to thank Pamela Parker, NP, who has taken great care of Bill for many years and has become a friend to the family; Dr. William Cline, DO; his nurse, Paula Chidester; Catherine “Jo” Hendershot, Oncology NP; the Camden Clark Oncology staff; the Housecalls Hospice team; and Morris supply.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist the North Carolina Hurricane Helene Disaster Fund , Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or a similar relief effort.
