Willard L. Roush, 82, of Vienna, passed away January 18, 2025, at The Willows Center in Parkersburg. He was born August 31, 1942 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth “Annie” Lyons Roush. He was a 1961 graduate of Parkersburg High School, and was a part of the 1960 state championship basketball team. After graduation he served our country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965. He retired as a supervisor at A. B. Chance after 29 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and all sports, especially WVU football and basketball. Willard leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Gloria Carder Roush; three sons, Rick Roush (Angela) of Washington, WV, Ron Roush (Shawna) of Parkersburg, and Roger Roush of Parkersburg; two step-daughters, Tresa Isaacs (Michael) of Parkersburg and Stephanie Brookover (Cheryl) of Belpre; two step-sons, Carl Isaacs (Jon) of Parkersburg and Jason Isaacs (Michelle) of Washington; a brother, Gary Roush (Cathy) of Buffalo, WV; twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Roush; and two brothers, Woody and Norm Roush. The family wants to extend a special thanks to Stephanie Brookover and Carl Isaacs for their love and care over the past year for Willard. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg, with Pastor Ron Hendershot officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with full military rites. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, has been entrusted with Willard’s final wishes and is honored to serve the family.
