Willard Clinton Lantz of Lakeland, Florida passed away March 14, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus of cancer. Willard was born June 18, 1939 in Ellamore, W.Va. son of the late Arthur and Beulah Lantz. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated in 1957 from Buckhannon-Upshur High School and served in the U.S. Armed Forces. He was a Methodist by faith. Willard retired from Shell Chemical in Belpre, Ohio and moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1991. He had many wonderful friends. Willard is survived by his wife, Judith Lantz; two sons, Richard Lantz of Vienna, W.Va. and Michael Lantz and wife, Linda of Buckhannon, W.Va.; one grandson, Justin Lantz of Buckhannon, W.Va.; two step-children, Jason Lambert of Morgantown, W.Va., and Dena Mateo and husband, Jorge of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Lucille McCauley and husband, Tom of Parkersburg, W.Va.; brother, David Lantz and wife, Jeannie of Maybe, W.Va.; and sister-in-law, Mary Lantz of Brushyfork, W.Va.In addition to his parents Willard was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Lantz. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, WV with Pastor Scott Hannus officiating.Donation in memory of Willard may be made to the Talbott Cemetery, the American Cancer Society, Hospice, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
