Wilbert Wayne Bleigh

Wilbert “Wayne” Bleigh, 68, of Parkersburg, passed away on May 21, 2026 unexpectedly at home. He was born April 22, 1958, in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late Wilbert Bleigh Jr. and Phyllis Ferrell Bleigh.

Wayne attended Parkersburg South High School and worked various jobs throughout the years. He will be remembered for his happy-go-lucky spirit, his deep love for family, the special nicknames he lovingly gave all of his nieces and nephews, and his compassion for animals, especially feral cats.

He is survived by his brother, Randy Bleigh (Pam); sisters, Janna Valentine (Mike) and Julie Windland; nieces and nephews, Ryan Windland (Paige), Sadie Ward (Ben), Emily Melrose (Bobby), Hannah Haddad (Justin), Zac Windland (Tarah), Abbey Valentine, and Shane Windland; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Danny Windland and several beloved aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Evergreen South Cemetery, following a private family viewing.
