Wayne Leo West

Wayne L. “Jack” West, 87 of Rockport, WV passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at his residence.

He was born May 2, 1937 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Lafe and Garnet Moore West. Jack was retired from Bosley Block Company and was a member of the Slate United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, gardening and lawn work. Jack will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Middleton of Crescent City, Fla; mother of his daughter, Janet Casto (Gary) of Rockport; two sisters, Norma Deem (Roger) of Alabama and Sharon Sommerville (Gary) of Slate, WV; grandson, Justin Middleton (Megan Queen) of Rockport; great-grandson, Max Queen and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his two sons, Richard Leo West and Mark Anthony West; his girlfriend, Della Kidwell; two sisters, Kathy Lambert and Shirley Dowler and his two dogs, Prince and Lucky.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery, Rockport. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
