Warren “Smitty” William Smith, 88, of Belpre, Ohio passed away July 9, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 13, 1925 a son of the late Warren William Smith and Annie Mildred Moats.“Smitty” was a mechanic and retired from Rockland Service Center.He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Smith of Belpre, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith of Belpre, Ohio; his two sons, David (Cinda) Smith, of Parkersburg, W.|Va., and Steven Smith of Cutler, Ohio; a sister, Ouida “Sue” (Tom) Knox of Lubeck, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Shirley Smith of Waverly, W.Va.; three brothers, Glenn A. Smith of Las Crucis, New Mexico, Paul (Brenda) Smith of Alvin, Texas, and Wayne (Pearl) Smith of Melbourne, Florida; a brother-in-law, Dennis Hunsaker of Twin Falls, Idaho; his grandchildren, Carrie (Mike) Schweikart, Melinda (Bill) Haddox, Steven A. Smith, Melissa Smith, (Sharon), Pauline (Heath) Shultz, Johnny Smith, Daniel (Angie) Parsons, and Sarah (Brandon) Tucker; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cora Jackson Smith, a son, James Shannon Smith, four brothers, Fred O. Smith and his wife, Rita, Ralph E. Smith, John C. Smith and his wife, Jean, and Robert Andrew Smith; and a sister, Anna Belle Hunsaker.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Robert Watkins officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
