Warner S. Ogden, Sr., 82, of Belpre, Ohio, departed this life on September 16, 2017 at Marietta Center, Marietta, Ohio. He was born August 23, 1935 In Parkersburg, West Virginia son of the late James and Zelda Thornton Ogden. Warner was a graduate of the Sumner School of Parkersburg. He owned and operated his own HVAC business and worked at DuPont, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Whitman Chapel AME Church, Belpre. Warner’s hobbies included golf, cars, and sports on TV. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marcia Criss Ogden of Belpre, Ohio; a daughter, Kimberly Love of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Mike Ogden of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Richard (Julia) Ogden of Stockport, Ohio, and Kevin (Sharon) Ogden of Parkersburg, West Virginia; four Grandchildren; seven Greatgrandchildren; brother, James (Marcella) Ogden of Little Hocking, Ohio; sister Rosalyn Jackson of Belpre; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his canine princess, Kesha. In addition to his parents, Warner was preceded in death by sons Mark Ogden, and Warner S. Ogden, Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbor Jason Barnum for all his help these last few months. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Reverend Kenneth Boyd officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Warner’s memory to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, P.O.
