Waneda Shafer

Waneda Shafer of Vienna, passed away July 16th, 2026 at Eagle Pointe Care Center in Parkersburg. Born May 18th, 1929 in West Union, West Virginia.  She was the wife of the late, Roy G. Shafer.  She was a devoted Homemaker and mother. She was member of the Grand Central Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Roy A. Shafer (Debbie) of Vienna, and Brian L. Shafer of Vienna. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Roy G. Shafer, Her parents, Ervin and Ilena (Hess) Perine, a daughter, Glenna I. Gates, and Four sisters and Four Brothers. 

A Private Burial will be held at Evergreen North Cemetery, and the Family will be having a Memorial Service at a later date.
