Vivian Lucille Long 77 of Parkersburg, WV passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Pine View Nursing Facility, Harrisville, WV, Matthew 11:28-30.She was born December 22, 1936 in Murphytown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roy E. and Beulah Deem Hoyler. Vivian was a member of the AMBUCS for several years. She was always an energetic and loving person. Prior to her illness, she loved golf and spending time with her family and friends. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, and Memaw who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Boyd E.”Butch” Long; four children, David Van Iderstine (Jean) of Massachusetts and their children, Reed, Clay, Micah, Burl and Wren; Brian Long of Parkersburg, W.Va.; Judy Keith (J.D.) of Harrisville, W.Va. and daughter, Jessie; and Cindy Long (Bryan) of Steubenville, OH and daughter Carrie; two sisters, Billie Hall of St. Charles, Missouri and Mary Wiggins (Leonard) of Belpre, OH; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Hoyler and her sister, Jean Vail.A private gathering of immediate family will be Sunday, July 13, 2014.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., Parkersburg.Memorial donations may be made to the Old Man Rivers Mission, 703 Pike Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 or Meals on Wheels, 925 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 in memory of Vivian.
