Vivian Laoma Guthrie

Vivian L. Guthrie age 96 of Parkersburg passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Wyngate Senior Living.

She was born April 28, 1928 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Harold Everett and Sylvia Pearl Sheets Pfalzgraf. Vivian was a 1946 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was retired from Rambar Aviation and had previously worked for Corning Glass and Milam Shoes in Vienna. After retirement Vivian was a volunteer at Camden Clark Medical Center, where she did bookkeeping for their gift shop. She attended Stout Memorial United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and hosting weekly bingo games.

She is survived by her two daughters, Debra L. Guthrie of Parkersburg and Karen Ritchie (Jeff) of Washington, WV; her granddaughter, Amber Ivey (Keith) of Union, SC; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Addison Ivey and her sister-in-law, Pattie Pfalzgraf of Belpre.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, CSM Denver L. Guthrie; infant sister, Bonnie Sue Pfalzgraf and brother, Gordon H. Pfalzgraf.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St, Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Layfield officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
