Virginia Sue "Ginger" Bowman

Virginia Sue “Ginger” Bowman, 72 of Parkersburg, W.Va passed away Sept. 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 21, 1944, a daughter of the late Glenn W. and Irene N. Lockhart. She was a 1962 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She worked as a hairdresser/cosmetologist for 38 years and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and NASCAR. Ginger enjoyed camping and traveling and especially loved vacationing at The Outer Banks and in Florida. She is survived by her husband, Arden O. “Art” Bowman; two daughters, Gina Sellers (Terry) and Donna Bowman all of Parkersburg; a sister, Mae Rhea Blough (Noel) of Parkersburg; a brother, Dana Lockhart (Angela) of Huntington Beach, CA; and four grandchildren, Ryan Bowman, Zachary Bowman, Katlyn Bowman and Virginia Schweitzer. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Pam Shuman officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 219 11th St. Parkersburg, WV 26101.
