Virginia Catherine Stone

Virginia Catherine Stone, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Parkersburg Care Center. She was born August 4, 1934, in Brimfield, IL, daughter of the late Ernest H. and Cloey A. Alexander Baysingar. Virginia was a homemaker. She was a volunteer, former President, Secretary, Treasure for Neighbor Helping Neighbor. She was a tutor with Literacy Volunteers and was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Parkersburg. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lee Stone of Davisville, WV; four sons, Christopher Stone (Shirley Jo) of Raleigh, NC, Robert Stone of McDowell, WV, Ronald Stone (Joyce) of Seattle, WA and Wilbur Stone (Evonne) of Parkersburg; two sisters, Patsy George (Kenny) of Wiggins, MS and Ernestine Lowry of Bowling Green, KY; one brother, Andrew Baysingar (Pat) of Keyenne, IL; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Stone; two sisters, Christina Leason and Elizabeth Bale; two brothers, Henry and Robert Baysingar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Williamson and Pastor Eddie Leisure officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will from 6-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
