Virginia Bruce Renner

Virginia Bruce Renner, 88, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away January 9, 2017, at Arbors in Marietta, Ohio. Virginia was born September 15, 1928 in Pike County, Kentucky, a daughter of James Orin Bruce and Dolly Smith Hinkle Bruce. Virginia was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Belpre Church of Christ where she was involved with the Stepping Stones and taught Thursday School for twenty years. Virginia is survived by her son, William J. Renner and his wife Alisa, of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, James Renner (Maribel) of Pickerington, Ohio and Stacey Doughty (Dustin) of Madison, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren Rebecca, Cierra, Logan, and Allie. In addition to her parents and her husband of 67 years, William J. Renner, who passed away in 2013; she was preceded in death by a sister, Magdalene Bruce Clark; and a brother, Dwight Raymond Bruce. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio, with Ronald D. Laughery officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
