Virginia L."Ginny" Pierce

Virginia L. “Ginny” Pierce joined her beloved husband of 65 years, Jack N. Pierce, in the arms of the Lord on July 9th, 2017. Ginny passed quietly and peacefully in the presence of family from respiratory complications. Ginny will be joining a large and caring family of eight brothers and sisters, her granddaughter, and several in-laws into the great unknown. Ginny is survived by her three children, Jan, John, and Joe, their families including seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, a very special brother and sister in-law, and their family. Ginny was born to Dovie and John Parrish on June 22nd, 1932 in Parkersburg, WV. Attended Parkersburg High School and later Mountain State College. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack, on October 5th, 1951 and later moved to South Parkersburg where, together, they raised three children and provided support and unending love for two more generations. Ginny retired from Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and Jack from DuPont and were members of North Parkersburg Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg. A celebration of the lives, spent together, of Jack N and Virginia L Pierce. The family requests that in lieu of flowers those that were touched by the lives of Jack and Virginia Pierce share quality time with their loved ones, in their memory, continuing their life's long commitment and dedication to family.
