Virginia Ruth Hill

Virginia Ruth Hill passed away quietly on May 24, 2015. She was the wife of retired Marine, Master Gunnery Sgt Jack Leroy Hill Sr. who passed away Oct. 7, 1977. Born in Parkersburg, W.Va. she was the daughter of Willie Sciva West and Ida Grace West. She became a Christian and member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church in 1932. After graduating from Parkersburg High School she went to work at the Pentagon. She is survived by a son, Jack L. Hill; a daughter, Judith Anne Hill Shaw; brother, William B. West; nephews, Paul West and Jeffrey Lee West; and a niece, Linda Kay West Dils. She made many friends selling Avon for over 30 yrs. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Evergreen South Cemetery with Pastor Janelle Skinner officiating.
