Virginia “Fern” HaithcockVirginia “Fern” Haithcock, 91, of Parkersburg, passed away on January 28, 2011 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.She was born on November 28, 1919, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mariamon A. and Dixie H. Wigal Webber.Fern was a graduate of Parkersburg High School.She continued her education and became a Registered Nurse and worked in Veteran Hospitals during World War II.She also worked as an RN at Duke University in Durham, N.C. and retired at the age of 80 from private duty nursing.She was a member of the Cole Mill Road Church of Christ in Durham and attended Hopewell Church of Christ.She is survived by two nieces, Ruth Eaton Amos and Judy Webber Pfalzagraf, both of Parkersburg; three nephews, James Webber of New Martinsville, W.Va., John P. Eaton of Belleville, W.Va., and David Eaton of Coolville, Ohio, and their families; and special friends, Randy and Cora Welch.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lenis Haithcock; two brothers, John Kenneth Webber and Forest Woodrow Webber; and two sisters, Mary Jane Webber Eaton and Ruth Elizabeth Webber.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Evangelist Andy Robison officiating.Interment will follow at Wadesville Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30 and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
