Virgil Dale Francis

Virgil Dale Francis, 85, of Marietta, Ohio passed away on January 22, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 30, 1933 in Constitution, Ohio to the parents of Lewis and Lenora Francis. He is preceded in his death by his wife, parents along with three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joyce (Raymond) Baker of Lancaster, Michael Francis of Columbus, Tony Francis of Parkersburg, Ida (Chris) of Marietta, Brenda McNicholas (Mike) of Easton Pennsylvania, Tim (Amy) Francis of Belpre, Doris (Mark) Hollowniczky, and Sherrie (Bill) Ross of Belpre; along with grandchildren, Tonya, Wayne, Stacey, Josh, Ben, Logan, Andrea, Tim, Sara, Vanessa, Craig, Cody, Timmy, Christi, Courtney, Adam, JonJon, Zach, Shawntel, Brooklyn, Hunter, Cody, and Madison; and great-grandchldren, Adriana, Cullen, Cody, Josey, Makayla, Brody, Thea, Beau, and Roman. He was a longtime fan of dirt track racing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his guitars. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre. He will be buried at Gravel Bank Cemetery on Gravel Bank Road. Viewing will be Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
