Velma E. Snyder

Velma E. Snyder, 88 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away July 25, 2015 at The Willows.She was born October 20, 1926 in Jackson County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jasper and Mary “Maggie” Miller Boston. She retired from Corning and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.Velma is survived by a daughter, Linda Mason; two sisters, Oakley “Toke” Jordan, of Poca, W.Va. and Nina Hall, of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Amber Zipfel and Dr. Michael Summerfield; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lionel Boston.There will be a private graveside service at Sunset Memory Gardens. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 400 Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family.
