She was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and retired as a cashier from St. Joseph's Hospital. Velma was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Saundra K. Rhodes, of Ripley, W.Va.; a grandson, Keith Rhodes and wife, Kim, of Ripley, W.Va.; a great-granddaughter, Katie Rhodes; a sister, Lorena Wilkinson, of Byesville, Ohio; two brothers, Roma A. Harden, Jr. of Canton, Ohio and John C. Harden of Chicago, Il.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.A graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Jackson Memory Gardens with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va.The family requests memorial donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.
