Valerie Ann Swisher

Valerie Ann (Griffith) Swisher, 49, of Davisville, WV tragically passed away on April 4, 2024. She was born on September 21, 1974 in Trenton, NJ to Linda Danley who survives. Valerie was preceded in death by her former husband Greg, and in-laws, Carolyn and Red Swisher.
Most recently, Val worked as a CNA at Cedar Grove Assisted Living and for many years she was employed at Kroger on 7th St. In her free time, Val loved to shop and go out to eat with her son, singing karaoke, playing bingo, and helping people.
Survivors include her son, Andrew; sisters-in-law, Michelle Swisher and Dee Ables; brother, Garry; sister, Sharon; nieces, Harmony (Colton) and Jessica; nephews, Garry III, Allen, Christopher, Erik, Alex, and Devon.
Valerie will be cremated and a life celebration will be held Sunday, May 5th, 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Elks Lodge #198 in Parkersburg. Please dress casually.
The family would like to thank the good Samaritans and First Responders, including Pifer’s Towing, for their heroic efforts in responding to this tragedy.
