Timothy Hoffman Gard

Timothy H. Gard, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully April 7, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 31, 1952 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Jerry and Evelyn “Juanita” Hoffman Gard.

He was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He worked at E.I. Dupont, serving over 40 years. He collected guns and enjoyed shooting, riding in his Jeep, woodworking, and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Tim’s memory are his children, Austin Gard (Holly) of Fulshear, TX, Lance Gard (Aliya) of Cary, NC, and Sierra Gard (Alex) of Parkersburg; his siblings, Jim Gard (Debbie) of Mineral Wells, Ben Gard of Parkersburg, Nancy Gard McGehee (Jim) of Blacksburg, VA, and Scott Gard (Holly) of Elkin, NC; seven grandchildren, Ashlyn Gard, Chloe Gard, Xander Gard, Pierson Gard, Canon Metz, Simon Gard, and Savannah Metz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Terri Ann Marshall Gard.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg. Burial to follow. The family will accept friends and loved ones from 4-8 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the funeral home.
