Thomas Stephen Evans

Thomas Stephen Evans, 67, of Parkersburg passed away April 27, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1952 in Parkersburg, son of the late Edward D. Evans, Sr. and Ethel Kathryn McVey Evans. He had worked for Schott Scientific for 30 years. He worked for the City of Parkersburg as a crossing guard for Emerson School and was currently working at the Memorial Bridge. He was a member of Calvary Mission Church, was an avid Mountaineer fan and lived his life for his family. Thomas is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Green Evans; three daughters, Carolyn Jean Schroeder of Mineral Wells, Jessica True of Parkersburg and Tomi Jo Green (Brian) of Parkersburg; one son, Steven John Oman (Judy) of Lawton, OK; two sisters, Paula Uppole (Albert) of Parkersburg, Amanda Roberts of Parkersburg; sister-in-law, Doris Evans of Parkersburg; three brothers, Timmy Evans and Cindy of Little Hocking, John Evans of Parkersburg and Tony Evans of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Natalie, Brandon, Anita, Lex, Thomas, Evan and Dani Jo; three great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jeselyn, Amarah and soon to arrive, Baby Jewliyan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, one brother, Edward D. Evans, Jr.; two sisters, Pamela Braden and Mirnera Evans; and three nephews, Joshua Uppole, Stephen Parsons and Edward Evans III. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Harper Hill Cemetery on Ashby Ridge Road with Pastor Jack Brown officiating.
