Thomas Charles Smith, Sr., 77, of Parkersburg, WV passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 3, 1941 at Spencer, WV, a son of the late Harry Brown “Buck” and Francis Evelyn Rader Smith. Tom retired from Camden Clark Memorial Hospital as a maintenance foreman with over 30 years of service. He was also owner and general contractor of HRS and Sons Construction. Tom enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Helen Ruth Ludwig Smith; three daughters, Tammy Lynn Stuart, Tae Shawn Waggoner, and Terri Ann Smith; three sons, Thomas Charles Smith, Jr., Ted Lane Smith, and Steven Edward Flinn; four sisters, Joy, Jenny, Kay, and Sue; two brothers Robert and Butch; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Vernon Paul Smith, Tina Marie Davis, and Kimberly Dawn Cochran. Honoring Tom’s request there will be no visitation or services. Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Cremation Services, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg is assisting the family.
