Thomas D. Rinehart

Thomas D. Rinehart, 84 of Walker, WV passed away March 31, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1933 in Wood County, son of the late Cecil B. and Mary Dean Rinehart. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Tom graduated from PHS, class of 1951 and retired from E.I. DuPont after 35 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, farming, antique engines and trains. He was a member of the Kanawha Baptist Church at Leachtown, WV where he was a Deacon and was a member of The Flywheelers Engine Club. Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleanor J. Bailey Rinehart; three sons, Hank K. Rinehart (Elaine) of Leachtown, James B. Rinehart (Sherri) of Mineral Wells, and Eric D. Rinehart (Sharolyn) of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Sara Dunn (Adam) of Leachtown, Doug Rinehart (Amanda) of Spencer, WV, Jamie Rinehart of Mineral Wells, Ethan Rinehart of Mineral Wells, and Lauren Rinehart of Parkersburg; and four great-grandchildren, Stella Dunn, Ava Dunn, Elli Rinehart, and Silas Rinehart. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Camden Clark Medical Center for their loving care and kindness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Richard Smith and Pastor Robert Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
