Thomas Edward Johnson

Thomas Edward “Tom” Johnson of Progress Ridge Road, Walker, WV, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, to be in the great company of the saints in the eternal Kingdom of God.

He was born February 3, 1950 to the late Bernard M. Johnson and Mary Virginia Johnson of Walker, WV.

Tom was married to Christie Jones Johnson, who preceded him in death. The couple had two children, daughter, Lisa and son, Jeremiah of Walker.

Besides his children and grandchildren, Tom is also survived by three brothers: Harold Johnson of Waverly, WV, Ronald W. Johnson and wife Rose of Walker, and William H. "Bill" Galloway of Davisville; two sisters: Mary Alice Tucker and husband Arthur and Betty Lou Davis of Davisville. He also leaves behind a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Tom had previously worked for Storks (Flowers) Bakery until its closure and he worked as a repairman for Winans Properties.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St, Parkersburg with Rev. Dr. A. Arthur Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Carmel Cemetery at Walker. Visitation will be from 11:00 am -1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
