Thomas E. Dornon Sr., 89, of Waverly, W.Va., passed away on March 21, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Pleasants Co., W.Va., a son of the late Francis and Lula Marshall Dornon. Thomas was a steel worker for 33 years with Penn Metal in Vienna and was a member of the Steel Workers Union. He attended the People’s Church at Boaz, W.Va. and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Garrison Dornon; two daughters, Diane Honaker (George) of Charleston, W.Va. and Gladys Blair (Denny) of Waverly; four sons, Thomas E. Dornon Jr. (Karen), Harry Dornon (Myrna), Richard “Rich” Dornon, all of Waverly, and Randy Dornon (Joyce) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a son-in-law, Lou Haught of Vienna, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Ann Dornon and his daughter, Tammie Haught; five brothers and one sister; and one grandson, Jason Blair. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike South Parkersburg with Pastors Bob Watkins and Dana Locke officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
