Thelma Marie Swearingen

Thelma Marie Swearingen, 100, formerly of Belpre, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Arcadia Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Coolville, Ohio. She was born February 26, 1915, in Peninsula, Ohio, a daughter of the late Myron and Mary Alice Cunningham Hart. Thelma was a homemaker who loved sewing, painting and gardening. She was especially proud of her iris garden. She was a member of Torch United Methodist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Swearingen in 1994; and thirteen brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Torch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio.
