Thelma Margaret O'Neal

Thelma Margaret O'Neal, 87 of Vienna, passed away March 18, 2018 at Cedar Grove Nursing Home, Parkersburg. She was born August 3, 1930 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late William and Edna Athey Potts. Thelma graduated from PHS, and worked and retired from J.C.Penny's after 20 plus years of service. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter, Kathy (Danny) Patterson of Parkersburg; step-daughter, Gladys (Howard) Andersen of Venice, FL, and Patricia (Terry) Weaver of Torch, OH; sister, Sheila Johnson of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Michelle Patterson (Jerry Walker) of Parkersburg and four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Patterson and Megan Newberry, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel O'Neal; brother, Bill Potts and step-son, Hancel Alec O'Neal. A memorial service for Thelma will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, with Pastor Todd Hill officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Thelma donated her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
